The management structures which
support our organisation
‘Man Group (Corporate Functions)’ is a generic term describing all the
corporate functions which are conducted at Group level, as distinct
from the business (customer/ investor facing) activities which are carried
out in the businesses.
It is important to note that each of the heads of our core businesses and of the main corporate functions has executive responsibility for corporate responsibility as it affects their functions’ interaction with our stakeholders. For example, John Morrison, Chief Executive of Man Investments is accountable for our customer and third party distributor policies, as well as providing the ‘check and balance’ at divisional level that ensures other relevant corporate responsibility policies are being complied with. John is a member of the Corporate Responsibility Committee.
The business context of corporate
responsibility
Whilst leadership is essential in imbuing corporate responsibility into
every facet of our business, we place great importance on clearly delineating
the corporate responsibility perspective at Group level and in our core
businesses. Allowing for a degree of overlap, our corporate and divisional
functions break down broadly as set out on the chart here:
