Information Technology continues to be central to our business. Our global scale enables us to make major, long-term investments in technology which differentiate us from smaller and less well-established investment managers.
Over the past year, we have focused in three main areas:
- Continuing to enhance the technical capabilities in both AHL research and strategy execution, including upgrading our trading platform, middle and back office systems; as well as launching high frequency trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
- Creating a scaleable, global platform to support our Multi Manager business, including extending our MAC platform and capability.
- Investing strategically in Infrastructure to enhance the services to our staff and to investors and intermediaries, e.g. migration to a new global datacentre, upgrading our communications network and remote access capabilities along with decomissioning legacy applications.
