Legal Structurer for Hedge Fund Linked Products [3276]
In our Product Structuring unit we are offering a rare and exciting opportunity as Legal Structurer for a motivated Lawyer with experience in financial markets interested to move to a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment. You will be developing and implementing new structured products and open ended fund solutions (regulated and unregulated) for private and institutional investors in Europe or the Asia Pacific and the Middle East region with a strong focus on the legal and regulatory aspects of the transactions.i.e tax).
Responsibilities:
- Implement all type of products linked to our alternative investment management. The role will involve a close cooperation with external and internal parties (including negotiation with investment banks, liaising with regulators, external legal counsel and service providers as well as our internal back office and investment management teams)
- Prepare offer documentation and material contracts for alternative investment products
- Research and monitor market and legal developments in specific jurisdictions in Europe or the Asia Pacific and the Middle East region
- Advise the sales team on structuring, legal and regulatory issues
- Develop individual investment solutions for potential clients
- Maintain and update existing products with regard to structuring and legal issues
- Advise and support team members with financial background on legal matters of a transaction
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction
- Trained in a top-tier law firm with post qualification work experience in either a law firm or in the financial industry
- Excellent drafting skills
- Experience in investment banking, asset management or capital markets will be an asset
- Project management skills and ability to cope simultaneously with different tasks in a dynamic international environment
- Good communication and negotiation skills for building relationships with clients, investment banks and internal and external counterparties
- Strong interest to develop financial and product know how
- Strong team player
