HR Business Partner [3161]

The Human Resources (HR) department has a global presence with teams in London, Switzerland, Ireland and Chicago.  The key purpose of this role is to provide expert generalist HR support to the business.  This will include at both a strategic and operational level.

Responsibilities

  • Partner designated business unit(s) through strong professional relationship and the provision of advice and support in all HR related matters, specifically:
    • recruitment and retention
    • training and development
    • succession and career planning
    • compensation cycle
    • performance appraisal
    • termination processes
  • Provide practical contribution to HR policies and HR projects with a local and/or global approach
  • Participate in the implementation of strategic HR projects and consult with business unit in obtaining feedback/results of same
  • Management support for all regulatory/corporate governance responsibilities
  • Provision of queries/reports from PeopleSoft as required
  • Management of up to 2 direct reports


Requirements

  • HR business partner or generalist experience in an international environment, preferably within financial services
  • Effective project management and implementation skills
  • Experience of HR databases/systems, preferably PeopleSoft, for recording and reporting purposes, and fully conversant with Microsoft Office Suite
  • High level of ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal customers and HR teams
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a fast growing, dynamic and innovative environment and managing change
  • Solution oriented - able to critically evaluate information and articulate practical, commercially oriented solutions
  • Demonstrable self-starter with capability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Effective and demonstrable ability to think strategically and conceptually; adopts a strategic approach
  • Prior experience of managing people beneficial
