Reporting to the Head of Talent and Development and as a key member of the global HR team, the overall purpose of this role is to provide functional management and strategic leadership of the global Man HR and Compensation and Benefits information systems.  This means acting as the main link between HR and the Technology Group as Man’s senior super-user.

Responsibilities:

  • Functional management of Man’s global HRIS systems
  • Evaluation and prioritisation of global HRIS requirements in line with business requirements
  • Work closely with Technology Group to deliver global HRIS projects
  • Partner with technical support and development teams to ensure functional requirements are technically matched
  • Identify and implement opportunities for optimisation of HRIS strategy, processes and data management/reporting
  • Work with Technology Group to provide a comprehensive and best practice strategic vision regarding HR information and systems
  • Champion HR processes and procedures to ensure a globally consistent and transparent approach with supporting documentation, reporting and planning
  • Develop and promote effective and credible working relationships with all HR employees and provide change management guidance and support
  • Ownership of HR reporting
  • Additional relevant tasks which are appropriate to the role and business requirements

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience of HRIS, preferably within financial services or similar environment
  • Knowledge of HR practices and willingness to understand HR policies and processes
  • Advanced functional understanding of PeopleSoft HRIS, and of Payroll and Compensation and Benefits systems gained through commercial experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, fully conversant with entire MS Office suite
  • Collaborative working style – able to communicate with and quickly build effective working relationships with HR and Technology Group
  • Business acumen and commercial awareness – capable of challenging existing processes, proposing solutions and facilitating change, either through systems or business process change
  • Able to demonstrate prior experience of ownership and management of data
  • Project management experience – candidates must demonstrate a highly structured approach
  • Experience of business change management and process mapping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in order to effectively communicate with technology and business professionals
  • Demonstrable self-starter, willing to be hands on and involved in all aspects of HRIS including provision of management information
  • Previous experience of managing/coaching preferable
